When we talk about inclusion, we often picture frameworks, initiatives, or funding models. But at its core, it begins with something far simpler — people coming together.
Our recent Deepavali lunch helped ignite that everyday connection, with the kind support of Veeru Murugappan from Coromandel Productions and Gayatri Restaurant. We shared a meal with our migrant brothers, community members, and our Chairman Mark Wong — joined by Alister Ong and Chandrima Das from Our Migrant Guest (OMG).
Some of our migrant brothers have been with us since 2022. Each year, they return not as guests, but as part of our extended community. At one table, our ex-intern turned volunteer YX was being taught how to eat with her hands on a banana leaf — a small act reflecting mutual respect and curiosity.
